Chef/Partner
Stephen Dunne

Stephen grew up just outside Detroit and began cooking at 15 years
old. He eschewed culinary school for real world work experience,
heading to New Orleans after graduating high school to apprentice
under chef Kevin Graham at the Windsor Court Hotel and Graham's.
He has since rounded out his professional experience and defined
his cuisine working in several celebrated Wolfgang Puck restaurants
(Spago, Postrio...), under restaurateurs Drew Nieporent and Larry Stone
at Rubicon in San Francisco, and most recently collaborating with
chef/owner Michael Kornick at Chicago's MK. Stephen refers to his
cuisine as "New American", embracing the multifarious nature of
our country's great melting pot, borrowing literally from a myriad
of ethnic styles. Stephen lives in Chicago's Roscoe Village neighborhood and is also Chef/Partner of Dine & Drink, Inc.'s popular destination, Paramount Room.
Managing Partner Jon Young
Jon has successfully managed restaurants for Rich Melman's Lettuce Entertain You, Inc. (Maggiano's Little Italy, P.J. Clarke's, Cafe Ba Ba Reeba), and restaurateur Alex Dana's Rosebud Restaurants (Centro, La Rosetta).
Jon & wife Helene Albert opened Kitsch'n (2005 W. Roscoe, Chicago) in late 98' when a longtime diner in Roscoe Village, just blocks from their home, became available. Working quickly, they converted it into a fun & funky 1970 's retro diner serving up comfort food with a gourmet twist. Kitsch'n has since become a Chicago cult icon, and has been featured in Bon Appetit, on The Food Channel (Rachael Ray's $40 a Day)
and The Travel Channel for their delicious food and unique atmosphere, winning numerous awards and accolades. Comfort food and 1970's fashion, design and culture have been getting more popular ever since. A larger sister location opened in early 2005 in the old Montgomery Ward Warehouse building housed Kitsch'n River North and The Fifth, and currently serves the 600 West complex Monday through Friday via it's "k-cafe".
Since opening Volo Restaurant Wine Bar with Chef Partner Stephen Dunner in the spring of 2005 it has been awarded “Best Wine Bar”, and “Best Wine List” by Best of Citysearch for Chicago Nightlife and Restaurants, as well as being voted Top 10 for "Best Date Place", and "Best Outdoor Dining" by AOL Cityguide (Chicago).
Jon is also the Managing Partner of Dine & Drink, Inc.'s more recent food & drink destination Paramount Room in River West.
Dine & Drink, Inc.
In September of 2007 Jon & Helene formed Dine & Drink, Inc.with the primary goal of developing a brand identity their loyal customers can recognize, offering a full range of dedicated private event, catering and banquet options.
